Berry Ladies FC ended their 3 years wait for a Women’s Premier League win over Ladystrikers at Home as Doreen Graham‘s Goal and Janet Korkor Osei‘s late strike sealed a dramatic 2-1 victory against Ladystrikers on Saturday, 25th November  2023
After not being able to defeat Ladystrikers FC at home (Madina Astroturf) since the interception of Berry Ladies FC, Berries enjoyed a moment of sweet redemption at the Madina Astroturf.
With just 8 minutes left, Janet Osei‘s dribble in front of their Goalkeeper to put the ball in the net was a beautiful goal, sparking wild celebrations as Berry Ladies FC clinched a top-flight success against the Ladystrikers for the first time at Home.
Berry Ladies FC had beaten Ladystrikers at their home or played a draw, but that victory in the curtain-raiser to the domestic season could not be taken as seriously as this potentially crucial result.
This victory lifted Berry Ladies FC at the same points with second place Army Ladies FC but in a third position due to Goal difference. There is no lack of appetite for the League Title among Berries as we try to erase the bitter taste of blowing a three-point against Hasaacas Ladies FC in our previous match.

Coach Freeman Amponsah who wasn’t present during the match said this week that Berry Ladies FCÂ “are back” as long-term challengers to Hasaacas Ladies’ domestic supremacy and there is no way a defeat can decide the hunger Berries have to win this season’s title.
