The opening 45 minutes was action packed and dominated by refereeing decisions. Berry Ladies Football Club had a lot of chances that they failed to utilize in their attacking build-up until Jafaru Rahama came through for Berry Ladies FC with a goal in the 35th minute.
The second half continued at the same intensity and Cynthia Boakye Yiadom scored thanks to a shot that looped over the keeper of Hasaacas Ladies FC. Hasaacas Ladies FC did manage to pull one back though when Veronica Kumah powerfully fired a shot beyond Abigail Tawiah Mensah at the near post.

“With consecutive kicks from Jafar Rahama, Cynthia B-Yiadom, Elizabeth Ayebea the first goal for the game could have been introduced by the home team but the chance is denied as the strong kick from Elizabeth Ayebea rules over the bar” said Gloria Kafui Kuzo when interviewed after the game.
.
Doris Boaduwaa almost hit the crossbar late, but Berry Ladies FC held out for the victory leaving Hasaacas Ladies FC drop another point in the league table.

TALKING POINT – STRUGGLING HASAACAS LADIES FC
.
It’s a really disappointing result for Hasaacas Ladies FC – again. They struggled to get on the ball early in the game so when Berry Ladies FC were missing crucial opportunities there was belief it could be the turning point in the game, but it wasn’t. They can call themselves unfortunate that Berry Ladies FC’ first half were full of miss chances, but they must take a long look at how they found themselves two goals down.
.
They were defensively passive never really pressuring Berry Ladies FC players when they were on the ball in the build-up to both goals. The team reacted and started to play better and in the end were unlucky to not get a draw from the game, but the issue comes when you go two goals down to a quality side like Berry Ladies FC and need to find a way past Martha Appiah, Comfort Yeboah and Regina Donkor, who were a magnet to the ball.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH (MVP) – PORTIA SAKYIWA
.
Portia Sakyiwaa, who won the Nasco Most Valuable Player (MVP) is living the dream! She managed to get her first Berry Ladies Fc goal against Ridge City Football Club Women this 2022/2023 season in our previous fixture and another amazing crosses and interceptions to help secure our three points. At Berry Ladies FC she is now one of the main girls and she lived up to expectation today. Her quality was the difference, creating half a yard to get assists and crosses, that poacher instinct Coach Freeman Amponsah installed in her.
