Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council Member (EXCO), Founder of Women’s Premier League sides Berry Ladies Football Club, Dr. Gifty Oware- Mensah has been endorsed as the Chairperson for the Management Committee of the Black Queens.

The Berry Ladies owner takes over from Habiba Attah Forson who served as the Chairperson in the last two years. Her involvement in Ghana Football, both male and female, saw her being voted to serve on the Executive Council of the GFA during last year’s election in Tamale.
Mrs. Gifty Oware-Mensah, who has been involved in football administration over the past years is expected to bring her expertise to the team and shape the Black Queens as they gear towards their upcoming Women’s Afcon tournament and Olympics qualifications

Oware-Mensah’s involvement in the women’s game has been on the rise for the past years and has also contributed her quota to ensuring some of the women’s female national teams get the needed support they desire. She made donations to both the Black Princesses and Black Queens ahead of the WAFU B U-20 Girl’s Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers respectively even before being voted as an Exco member.

She was also nominated as the CEO of the Year during the 2023 edition of the Ghana Football Awards in June for the standard and superb management of her clubs, Berry Ladies FC and Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies FC.

The Chairman of the Upper East Regional Football Association Alhaji Salifu Zida will serve as the Vice Chairman of the Committee.
