BLFC's COMMITMENTS
Women’s Football is central to Berry Ladies FC, but football excellence isn’t the end of our goal. We know that those girls who can make it as professional female footballers are rare. It is tough, competitive, and also involves Grace. So is good education at a top university or high school. When we scout a talented young girls for our academy, we know that the challenge ahead is not easy. But we don’t kill the dream, we nurture and expand it.
We sign a parental concern contract and invest for at least five years in the broad development of every girl who comes to Berry Ladies FC. This means we aspire to help them to grow good women, as academically capable students, and as footballers free from social vices like teenage pregnancy, drugs, prostitution etc.
It takes time to grow into potential, to be a leader, and so we stick with them and offer long-term commitments that genuinely create the opportunity for transformation. It is all about maintaining their vision.
