Coach Freeman Shortlisted for Nasco Malta Guinness Women Premier League Manager of the Month of February

The 2022 FIFA World Cup interrupted usual Malta Guinness Women Premier League football scheduling. Coach Freeman Amponsah as coach of Berry Ladies FC recorded three (3) straight wins, one (1) draw out of four matches after the world cup break, with Thunder Queens FC, Ridge City Football Club Women and Hasaacas Ladies FC defeated, drawing with Soccer Intellectuals Ladies FC.

The first was a 1-0 victory against Thunder Queens FC where Jafar Rahama gave a perfect assist for Mabel Amoyaw to score. A 4-1 win against Ridge City Football Club Women at Home, Madina Astroturf ensured Berry Ladies Football Club would finish strongly after an up-and-down start to the season. A goal from Portia Sakyiwa, Jafaru Rahama, Priscilla Agyemang Sintim and Mabel Amoyaw cancelled out Celestine Boye’s equalizer.

Berry Ladies Football Club recorded a third consecutive league win as they beat Yusif Basigi’s Hasaacas Ladies Fc 2-1 at Madina Astroturf Park; Jafaru Rahama, and Cynthia B. Yiadom scoring for Berries with Veronica Kumah bagging a consolation for the visitors.

Coach Freeman is shortlisted alongside Joseph Akeem Anyagre (Army Ladies), Antwi Darkwah (Supreme Ladies FC) and Basirudeen Sumani (Northern Ladies FC).
