It’s official: Coach Paul Freeman Amponsah has moved from Acting Coach to the Head Coach of Berry Ladies Football Club.
Official Statement:
Management of Berry Ladies FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Freeman Amponsah as First Team Manager, taking over from Coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo
Paul Freeman Amponsah has agreed on this decision and will be available for the Ghana Women’s Super-Cup and the 2023/2024 Ghana Women’s Premier League.
The move has been speculated for a while, but now it’s a done deal.
Berry Ladies Football Club will be hoping that the veteran and best grassroot manager can bring some stability, which hasn’t been seen at Madina Astroturf and hopefully set records for the club.
In January 2023, Coach Paul Freeman Amponsah took over on an interim basis after Coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo went on a study leave.
Coach Freeman Amponsah then led Berries to their second Ghana Women’s Super-Cup Qualification, moving the team from a 7th Position on the League Table to a 4th position.
This move comes in time for Coach Paul Freeman Amponsah to make a splash in the next transfer window to help Berry Ladies Football Club first of all be part of the Top 3 clubs in the coming Ghana Women’s Super Cup if not to win the Cup and will also feature new managers and new technical team members.
