Comfort Yeboah: Now I can say that I’m happy at Berry Ladies FC

Comfort Yeboah after getting a lot of play time seems as though she is taking significant steps towards rediscovering her form this season.

The former Soccer Intellectuals FC and Unick Ladies Fc centre-back has openly admitted that she finally feels comfortable at Berry Ladies FC following a campaign where she didn’t enjoy much playing time at the start of the season.

“I’m very well and fit, now I can say that I’m fine, that I’m happy,” Comfort said in an interview with Samuel Kwame Boadu and the This is Berries Team.

“When you get on the pitch, you see everything differently. In the end, you adapt and it’s good to live experiences and get to know other team cultures.

“Berries welcomed me very well, the fans and the people especially Coach Freeman Amponsah who played a major role to me coming here, so I’m very happy to receive the affection of my team and berry fans.”

After helping berries secure more wins, Berry Ladies FC won 1-0 with Army Ladies FC on an away match and Comfort believes that the team needs to keep improving.

“In the end it shows you that there are no easy opponents, it looks like you can beat any opponent, but the teams make it difficult for you,” Comfort added.

“The important thing is to keep on winning. We would have liked to take all three points at the start of the season with those teams we met but it wasn’t the case.

“There are things we need to keep improving as a team and keep adapting.

“I’m not happy at all [with the results and our current league standing], but having come back, although we were losing, is always positive.

“We have to keep growing, keep improving and we have to think about the next game.”

Comfort Yeboah maintained that she feels comfortable in the four-woman defense that coach Freeman Amponsah has established.

“I feel good, it’s a formation that we’ve been working on since the start of pre-season,” Comfort Yeboah noted.

“We feel comfortable giving that security and defensive stability up front.

“Little by little we’ll get to know each other better, we’ll be exploiting our defensive virtues to be able to benefit up front.”
