Martha Appiah proud to represent her country this Friday, 14th July, 2023

Berry Ladies FC and Ghana defender, Martha Appiah will be part of Black Queens Call Ups to play against Guinea at their home for Paris 2024 Olympics Games first round qualification.

‘It will be massive and obviously it’s an amazing honor to be added to the squad,’ said Martha. ‘We’ve had so many big friendly games recently that it’s kind of been in the back of my mind that I hadn’t had a chance to really play, so I’m a bit nervous because its being a while.”

‘I found out I’d been called up from a phone call when I was representing Ghana at the African Beach Games, but the queen’s coaches been kind enough to let me miss a practice for it, which is very nice of them, but I am at camp and training now.’

Camping officially opened on Monday, July 3 at the GFA Technical Centre (GSCE), Prampram at 4:00pm. The first-round fixtures against Guinea are scheduled between 10 – 18, July 2023.
