Coach Freeman Amponsah believes that the signing of Nana Yaa Mingle was a major boost to the Berry Ladies FC squad.
The Former Ridge City FC Midfield Maestro completed a deadline day move late this January, 2024, but had to train with the team and play some few matches to get along with her new mates.

Coach Freeman admits the signing was precipitated by the injury Elizabeth Linking Yeboah suffered against Hasaacas Ladies FC, but he is delighted with his new addition.
“We believe she has the quality,” the manager told Berry Ladies Fc media team. “She has been educated at Ridge City Fc where she has grown in stature.
“She’s a very intelligent player and plays the kind of game that can adapt to our style of play. That’s the main reason we bought her.
“It’s always stimulating [to make a signing], because it’s always a sign of hope and new ambition.
“I feel this squad is very focused and highly motivated to do well. We don’t need that [stimulus] but if it helps, it’s better. What is most important is that when the player plays, she shows quality. That is the best way to help the squad.”

Coach Amponsah believes Nana Yaa Mingle fits into the blueprint of Berry Ladies Fc midfield and will hit the ground running in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
“We have produced many midfielders recently,” he said. “It’s difficult to find midfielders of quality and I believe we have produced midfielders of top, top quality.
“Comfort Cobbinah is coming out of the ranks here. Felicity Agyei-Antwi came out of the ranks and Portia Sakyiwaa came here at a very young age. Let’s hope that that successful history will continue.”
