New Black Queens coach Nora Häuptle has called up 3 players of Berry Ladies FC for a training camp at Ghanaman Soccer Center for Excellence — Prampram
The plan for the sessions is to give Nora Häuptle and her staff the opportunity to see potential newcomers and old players in action. The former Swiss International who was appointed this month, is working with some selected players at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram as part of the journey towards the 2023 WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations and qualifiers for the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
According to the coach the objective is to create a fluid selection and scouting policy for players both locally and abroad.
Nora Hauptle has been speaking to ghanafa.org about the magnitude of work, knowledge on Women’s football, new staff, restoring the lost glory and the way forward for the Black Queens. As a result, the first batch of players — forty-seven, have been invited to report to camp from Monday, January 9 — Friday 12 whiles the second batch — forty-six, also take their turn from Monday 16 — Friday 20, 2023.
Ghanaian players who play abroad will be brought in later to augment the squad as the technical team put in efforts to build a formidable squad for both immediate and future competitions.
