As anticipation builds for the 2024 Ghana Premier Women’s Super Cup, Berry Ladies FC defender Rahinatu Mumuni is taking a moment to reflect on the team’s remarkable achievement last year and to inspire fans for the upcoming challenge.
In the 2023 Ghana Premier Women’s Super Cup held in Kyebi, Berry Ladies defied expectations, clinching the bronze medal under the leadership of former coach Paul Freeman Amponsah. “Many saw us as the underdogs, but we showed what we’re made of,” Rahinatu remarked. “Winning that bronze medal was a testament to our hard work, determination, and team spirit.”
With the new season approaching, Rahinatu is optimistic about the future under head coach Dora Zuta, who recently took the helm. “Coach Zuta brings fresh ideas and a different approach that I believe will elevate our game. We’re all excited to learn from her and implement her strategies.”
